He gets started on breakfast, making pancakes!
And before long our very pregnant Kate is up too
So she heads in to wake up Leia
And they enjoy what could possibly be their last breakfast together as a family of three
However, the joy is not long lasting, as Leia is still acting up, throwing her pancakes onto the floor!
Salim gives her a talking to, but Kate isn’t so sure…
She grabs her a bowl of cereal and asks her to eat that instead – maybe she’s acting up because she knows that the new baby is coming?
And the family get back to breakfast
As Salim heads in to start washing up the dishes, Kate talks to Leia about the new baby and tries to get her excited about it again – it seems to work, so hopefully she’ll stop acting up!
After breakfast, Salim takes Leia into her room and gets her dressed for the day
While Kate hops in the shower to freshen up before her last day of work
Meanwhile, Leia wants a story and not one to refuse his daughter, Salim happily accepts and picks out a story to read to her
Kate tries on a few outfits for work, but decides on something comfortable and bump-friendly – can’t blame you there, Kate!
And with a snuggle with her daughter
And a kiss for her husband
Kate heads off to her final day of work
Leaving Salim behind to do the household chores
And look after Leia, who is certainly entering her terrible twos! (even though she’s like 5 now, technically)
But at least she made the mess OUTSIDE this time, so Salim goes easy on her, remembering Kate’s words about sibling jealousy from breakfast
Instead, he gives her his attention while encouraging her to work out her energy in the garden
And the father and daughter play for a while
And as she gets entirely distracted by the ball pit
Salim is free to clean up the last of the mess
Before heading inside to find Leia, who’s having ANOTHER tantrum! Man, this girl is in a MOOD today!
Salim firmly disciplines her this time, expressing disappointment in her behaviour
Leia seems to listen to her Dad this time
And the two swiftly make up, playing together in Leia’s nursery for a while
Before it’s overdue time for a nap for the tired toddler!
While Leia is sleeping, Salim decides to put up the wallpaper in his son’s nursery
He goes with blue paper, and a yellow dinosaur border. So cute!
With the furniture being delivered tomorrow and the baby due at any time, Salim is starting to feel the pressure so decides to unwind in the shower
Meanwhile, our very pregnant Kate has returned home from her emotionally exhausting day of work, also physically exhausted. She apologises to her family and decides to skip dinner in favour of getting some sleep.
So it’s just Salim and Leia for fish and chips!
But a little while later their dinner is interrupted when Kate comes rushing out of the room…
SHE’S IN LABOUR!
Salim, panicking slightly, quickly thinks to call Liberty and ask her to hurry over to take care of Leia
She accepts, of course, and rushes straight over. Salim thanks her for coming so quickly and after she wishes them luck, it’s off to the hospital for round 2!
Kate checks in
And the couple head into the delivery room – the same one Leia was born in! It seems like only yesterday!
And with a little pushing and a little panic from Salim, their baby boy is here!
Kate cuddles him, and the couple head home with their son
Back in Windenburg, Salim is quick on the ball with feeding time
And Leia, still up with excitement of meeting her little brother, is brought into the room to finally meet him
Luckily, she’s happy after meeting her new sibling, a talks to him for a while while her parents watch on happily
But the night is wearing on, and Leia needs her sleep, so Dad takes her into the nursery and tucks her in, promising she can play with him again tomorrow.
Kate thanks Liberty for her help and relieves her of her duties, but not before introducing her to their new baby boy…

Welcome to our world, Mateo!
(I decided to go with a Spanish name as he was conceived in Salvadorada – it also means “gods gift” which goes perfectly with his sister’s name, which means “child of heaven”, though that was a total coincidence as I didn’t know the meanings until right now!)
And with that, another day in the life of Kate and family comes to an end.
So, what will happen next? Will Leia continue to be in absolute awe of her baby brother? Will Mateo prove to be an easy baby? What will the nursery look like?
