The family start their day by eating breakfast together
Before Salim hops into the shower ready for work
Kate gets dressed and then helps Leia get dressed – she wanted to wear her fairy wings today! So cute!
And with a peck on the cheek for his wife
And a cute little goodbye to the bump
Salim puts on his suit and heads off to work
Kate sits down with Leia to read her a story
Before putting her down for a nap – today will be a long and exciting day, so she’ll need it!
Before long, Liberty comes by to help Kate set up for the party
And the two get to work
They put up blue and pink streamers
A “guess the sex” chalkboard
place your bets, folks!
And an empty present box in the middle of the table
The box will be filled with the right colour balloons later by Liberty, who will be the first to discover the sex!
If it’s a girl, balloons like this will float out of the box
And if it’s a boy, these ones will!
Who else is getting super excited?!
It’s gone from HOT to a HEATWAVE now, so Kate decides to put something a little cooler on for the party
And the friends sit down for some lunch, chatting about the baby and the party. Liberty asks what Kate is hoping for…
And she says that she’d love another girl because of how much she adores her daughter, but a little part of her is hoping for a mini Salim! (and she actually does say “Leia” then “Salim”, so she really must think that!)
Too cute!
Kate stands for a moment in the empty room that will become her child’s nursery and wonders what colour the walls will be… What bed they’ll buy… What her child will be like…
But, Kate already has one child who needs her attention, as she gets Leia up from her nap and gives her a snack
Soon after, Salim returns home from work
Just in time too, as the guests soon begin to arrive ready for the reveal!
Liberty is keeping Leia company, and she’s certainly making her laugh!
And as the guests arrive, Kate and Salim greet their friends
And even Leia gets in on the hugging action, demanding “up” from Auntie Summer!
And as the friends catch up
It’s finally time for the reveal.
Kate picks up Leia and has her do the honours.
As Leia reaches out for the box...
She pulls off the lid...
And out float the balloons….
And….
IT’S A BOY!
Leia is going to have a baby brother!
Yay!
Leia is very excited, as she hugs her mother and father
And Kate’s friends congratulate her on the reveal
As the friends slowly start to head home, Salim gives Liberty a hug and thanks her for her help with the reveal
Then, he goes into full dad mode, changing the colours on the crib to blue
And ordering some bits for the nursery (from a previously approved list by Kate, of course!)
Meanwhile, Leia is having fun playing with her toys – she can’t wait to have a baby brother to play with!
And Kate tidies up the decorations
While Salim reads an excited but sleepy Leia to sleep
Kate is in the bedroom, thinking about her son and excited for his arrival
After Leia falls asleep, the couple sit at the table for a chat – Kate has decided that she’s going to resign from her job tomorrow, and be a stay at home mum and writer.
Salim is obviously very supportive of the decision, and is proud of Kate for making such a hard decision.
Kate gives her husband a cuddle, thanking him for being so loving and supportive
And with that ends another day in the life of Kate Armstrong!
What will happen next? Will Kate and Salim’s son make an appearance or will he keep us in suspense like his big sister did? What will they name him? How will Kate’s resignation go?
