It's Penny's birthday today and Josette is preparing breakfast for her daughter
She's set up balloons around the table
And the three of them sit down together to enjoy their parfait and discuss the plans for Penny's birthday
They will be having dinner at a restaurant later with Lacey (Penny's birth mother) and Stefan, but Penny wants to go to the local flea market before that and browse the sales
Agreeing to take her, Jo and her kids head over to the Spice District for the flea market, where Penny begs her Mother for a pet frog - "they're soooo cute!"
Josette agrees, and sends Penny over to see which frog she wants
She picks out a Dirtsurfer frog
She decides to name him Hopper
As well as her new pet, Penny spots a funky design lamp that she wants for her new bedroom, and Josette agrees to let her get it
So will the flea market cleaned out, it's time to head over to the restaurant!

And Stefan
The family sit down together as Josette recaps their morning at the flea market
Side note update on Bobby Muse: he's married to Meredith Goth and they've adopted a son, Adam
Lacey shares some more details with Penny about her family, including stories about her Mother Alice (who is currently pregnant! Penny is going to have a baby Aunt or Uncle!) and her late Father, Lucas
Lacey decides to leave out the details of Penny's father for now, wanting instead to tell her the proper story when it's just the two of them
Penny is happily chatting away to her brother, anyway!
With the food eaten, it's time for cake!
Happy Birthday, Penelope Jolene Armstrong!
She's now a teenager! And she's so cute! Look at those big brown eyes! Just like Ryder!
Penny and Lacey make plans to meet for coffee in a few days so that Lacey can share more details with her, and potentially meet her Grandmother and baby Aunt/Uncle
And with that, it's time to head home
Where Penny heads to bed in her new bedroom, kitted out with her new lamp and full of colour - I think it matches her personality perfectly!
And of course, Hopper has a new home on the dresser alongside an excellence bunny and snow globe
