It's another morning and today we're in the household of Mateo Armstrong as today is his birthday!
We begin our morning with Mateo's daughter, Katherine, who's up early to make breakfast
Katherine's aspiration is to be a chef, so she takes every chance she can to whip up a meal and improve her skills
She makes a fruit salad, and sits down to eat with her parents
After breakfast, Katherine presents her Father with his birthday present
It's a new outdoorsy outfit, which he loves!
Mateo thanks his daughter for the thoughtful gift
Before it's time for her to head off to school
Leaving Hope to reveal that she's taken the day off of work to spend with him, and she has a birthday surprise planned!
Mateo feels to lucky to have the two amazing women in his life, and thanks her for being a perfect wife
Then he heads in for a shower, preparing for his birthday surprise
While he's showing, Hope packs up his birthday cake
And preps a lunch for them both
Done!
After getting the picnic packed up, Hope changes into an outfit to match Mateo's new outdoor gear
And then they head over to the coast, where Hope has planned a day of fishing for her husband!
He's thrilled, as he loves fishing and has always wanted to bring Hope along for a day at the shore
The couple pass the morning with Mateo teaching Hope how to fish
Catching some interesting bits and bobs
As well as a few fish! Hope's first ever fish! She's caught a guppy, which she decides to keep as a pet!
Mateo catches a good few fish and is content with his haul
So after a few hours of fishing, the couple decide to break for lunch
For anyone wondering, Mateo has a tuna fish sandwich and Hope has a veggie and hummus sandwich - sounds so good
As they enjoy the packed lunch, the couple chat happily about their morning of fishing and Mateo recaps some old fishing stories
After lunch and some chatting, Hope and Mateo make their way down to the beach to watch and listen to the waves
Mateo thanks his wife for a lovely birthday of fishing and enjoying the beach
They enjoy the sunset laying on the beach watching the clouds drift across the darkening sky
So pretty!
Then it's time for Mateo to blow out his candles!
And now, Mateo is an elder! Time sure flies!
After blowing out his candles, Mateo decides to spend the rest of his evening in front of a warm fire with his wife
They roast some marshmallows
Which look pretty delicious
Right, Hope?
Mateo even grills one of his catches from earlier today
Looks delicious!
After enjoying the grilled fish together, Hope and Mateo head home
For the final celebration of Mateo's birthday
And then off to bed for the Armstrong family, ending another day
