It’s another morning in Willow Creek and rain is pouring down outside the home of Kate Armstrong.
Kate wonders what to do today, knowing that a walk around the neighborhood would end in very soggy socks.
The first thought that implied what she wanted to do was Liberty – so, I took that to mean that she wanted to meet with Liberty for the previously discussed coffee book club.
Kate hops in the shower before deciding on what to wear today.
It’s raining, but it’s also warm, so she settles on some quarter jeans and a t-shirt/shirt combo with converse. I think she looks rather lovely!
And with that, Kate gives her new friend Liberty a call to arrange meeting for a coffee. Liberty recommends a coffee shop in Windenburg.
So, braving the rain, Kate heads to Windenburg to meet her friend.
She decides to grab a scone, as well as a coffee for Liberty, and sits down at an empty table to wait for her.
Maybe you should wait for Liberty before eating that scone…
Or… Not…
Well, not long after Liberty joins Kate in the café and talk soon turns to books.
They talk about their favorite authors and the latest books. Kate gets very excited at one point, presumably fangirling over a new book.
And luckily, Liberty seems to be just as excited. Isn’t it great that these two found each other to talk about books to!
Kate also finds out that Liberty is a geek, so she loves playing video games too.

Unfortunately the day can’t last forever, and the girls soon have to say goodbye to each other.
And a little later Kate returns home.
Still pretty full from her scone and coffees, she decides to make a simple garden salad for her dinner.
Which is going smoothly until she cuts her finger. Ouch.
But she’s soon back to making her dinner, hopefully not bleeding too much into it!
And she sits down to eat while watching the cooking channel. I can only assume that she is hoping to pick up some hints on how to not cut herself while making a simple salad. Damn it, Kate.
And of course, no day with Kate Armstrong would be complete without an evening of reading. Tonight’s book of choice is The Glutton Spiel.
Kate’s reading is interrupted soon after by a thunderstorm.seriously, can’t a girl just finish ONE book in peace?!
So she decides to head to bed, as she has work tomorrow anyway.
And that was another day in the life of Kate Armstrong. What will happen next? Will Kate finally get to finish a book without interruption? Will something more exciting happen? Let's hope so!
